The Way of Love for Kids talks today with brother and sister comedy duo, Leo and Betsy all about our fifth practice, BLESS.
The Way of Love for Kids is a walk through a thoughtful set of practices designed to draw each of us closer to the heart of God. Over twelve episodes we will explore ways to connect with God and each other. Some of these practices may be familiar, while others may invite you toward a new way of wondering about God and this Way of Love.
Today KariAnn visits with siblings, Leo and Betsy. We talk about the best gift we ever received, pretzel arms and blessings. Blessing was a major part of Jesus life and ministry and it can be a major part of our lives, too! We invite you to return your seats to their upright position (if you are in the car - parents drive the speed limit) and/or settle in for a few minutes of wondering and wandering with us on the Way of Love for Kids.
Questions from The Way of Love for Kids Episode #7: What is the best gift you've ever been given? Why was that gift so special to you? Who is the first person you can remember telling you about God? Can you remember a time when you received a blessing? Have you ever told anyone about Jesus? Share a story about a time when you were kind to someone. Can you think of a gift that you were given that was absolutely free?
Additional Questions for wondering: Can you think of a way that you can give a blessing to a neighbor?
Challenge/Question(s)/Practice: 1. Can you send a homemade card to someone who needs to hear that they are loved and remembered by God and by you? 2. Are there toys or clothes that you are no longer using that you could donate to a shelter as a blessing to kids who need those things? 3. Plan a surprise blessing for someone this week!
